Website access and hosting

This website is built and hosted using Builder by HBA. Delivering and protecting the website involves technical request data, such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and time of access. The purpose is to provide a functioning, secure website. The legal basis for processing necessary for that purpose is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google Analytics and a Meta advertising pixel are not configured for this funnel. This does not mean that the hosting platform processes no technical or usage data.

Your guide and follow-up emails

If you request the free guide and agree to receive Daniel After Work emails, we use your email address and subscription records to deliver the guide, send seven welcome emails over about two weeks, and send occasional journey updates and recommendations. Some recommendations contain affiliate links.

HBA Emailer provides the email-list and mailing service. The legal basis for the agreed email communications is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Austrian rules on electronic marketing also apply. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent.

HBA Emailer also provides delivery, open and click statistics. The precise measurement settings, data involved and available controls for optional interaction tracking have not yet been verified for this website.

YouTube and form protection

The bridge page includes a YouTube video loaded from youtube-nocookie.com. Loading the player can still transmit technical information, including your IP address and information about the page and browser, to Google. Cookies or similar storage can also be involved. If you are signed into a Google account, Google may associate activity with that account. See Google’s privacy policy.

The signup form currently has Google reCAPTCHA enabled to help distinguish genuine submissions from automated activity. It processes technical information for risk assessment and can set the _GRECAPTCHA cookie. See Google’s reCAPTCHA information.

The consent controls and loading behaviour for these services have not yet been verified for this website. This policy does not state that either service is blocked until consent.

HBA services and affiliate links

We use The Home Business Academy, LLC (HBA), a provider based in the United States, for website and email services. HBA identifies Amazon SES and Postmark as email-delivery providers. Information on HBA’s processing is available in its privacy policy.

If you follow an affiliate link, you visit the provider’s website. Referral information can be used to attribute a purchase to Daniel After Work, and we may receive a commission. The destination provider’s notices apply to its own processing.

HBA’s services are based in the United States. Google services can also involve processing outside the European Economic Area. The applicable HBA data-processing agreement and international-transfer safeguards have not yet been verified for this website. No particular transfer mechanism or certification is claimed here.

Contact and retention

If you email us, we use the information you provide to respond. Depending on the request, the basis is taking steps at your request before a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or our legitimate interest in answering correspondence under Article 6(1)(f).

We retain personal data for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose, including handling your request, maintaining a subscription, demonstrating consent, respecting an opt-out or meeting applicable legal requirements. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails; it does not automatically erase every record. HBA’s own notice also describes retention by reference to providing its services, legal obligations and applicable limitation periods.

Your choices and rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact daniel@danielafterwork.com to make a request.

You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority. We may need information to verify your identity before disclosing personal data.
